Launches VHF / SSB Marine Radios
VHF Marine Radiois the most recognized form of coastal communication around New Zealand. There are two types of VHF Marine Radio, Hand Held (5watt) or in vessel units (25watt). VHF is monitored by the New Zealand Coastguard and Maritime Radio and is number one for safety requirements on a vessel.
SSB Normally used on commercial vessels or vessels traveling offshore. It is still a very important form of communication and modern units that are correctly installed are able to receive weather and email information. Particular attention must be paid to the installation of these units.
