The Garmin GPSMAP 556s chartplotter packs a lot of value into a sleek new compact design. It features a ultra-bright, high resolution 5" VGA colour display with auto dimming and backlit keypad for easier night operation. Both offer exceptional detail, fast redraw rates and the most realistic photo-enhanced cartography ever seen in its class of fixed-mount electronics. Garmin's unique intuitive operating menu makes it a breeze to use, for even the boating novice.

No more time and money wasted on extra charts, these units come preloaded with the entire Australia and New Zealand Marine BlueChart, including worldwide satellite imagery basemap.

The optional BlueChart® G2 VISION SD card adds a whole new dimension of exceptional features including 3D mariner's eye view or fish eye view which provide a 3-dimensional perspective of map information, both above and below the waterline. High resolution satellite imagery which can be overlaid onto the basemap and Auto Guidance technology, which creates a safe route you can follow.

The GPSMAP 556s includes a powerful 500 watt RMS dual frequency transducer sounder to reach depths of up to 1500ft, with an optional 1kW available. This unit also includes Ultrascroll™ for lightning-fast screen updates, new AutoGain technology to enhance target visibility, A-scope, split zoom, bottom lock and a host of other Garmin features.
